Moving and Storage Services in Texas
When the closing date slips or the new place is not ready, your things do not have to sit in a rented unit somewhere. They come back to our warehouse, wrapped and inventoried, and they stay in our custody until you are ready.
Matthew & Mois provides moving and storage services in Texas out of a warehouse the company owns in Alvarado, not rented space in someone else's building. It is temperature-controlled and monitored by 24/7 video surveillance. We are a family-owned company licensed under MC 1710429 and USDOT 4368130. Storage here is part of your move rather than a separate rental: the same crew that wraps and loads your home carries it into our warehouse, keeps it inventoried and in our custody, and delivers it when your new place is ready. Some customers need a few weeks while a closing settles. Others need several months. You can visit your belongings by appointment while they are with us, and storage is quoted with the rest of your move, so it is a line you see before you book.
This is a mover's warehouse, not a self-storage unit
A self-storage unit is a room you rent. You haul your own things in, stack them yourself, and months later you do the whole job again in reverse. That is manageable for a bike and a few boxes. For the contents of a house it means handling everything twice.
Renting a unit
You rent the space and do the hauling and stacking yourself. Whatever protection your furniture has is whatever you wrapped it in before you carried it through the door.
Storage with your move
Our crews do that work for you. Your furniture is wrapped and padded before it leaves your home, it travels on our truck with our crew, and it comes off that truck onto pallets that we shrink-wrap and inventory.
The tradeoff is honest: this is not drive-up access. Your belongings are wrapped and stacked on pallets, so you cannot swing by on a Sunday and pull one box out of the middle. What you can do is call us and set an appointment, and we will have someone there to walk you to your things.
And storage here comes with a move. We are not renting units to the public. If we are moving your home, we can hold it for you afterward.
Your closing moved. Your move does not have to.
One company, from your old door to your new one
Every handoff in a move is a chance for something to go wrong. The usual storage arrangement adds two of them: one company loads your home, another company's building takes the delivery, and somebody who has never met you stacks your furniture.
Our arrangement removes those handoffs. Our crew loads your home, our truck drives it, our warehouse holds it, and our crew delivers it. Your belongings stay in our custody the whole way through, so the question of who is responsible for them has one answer the whole way.
In our custody, start to finish.
What the inside of it actually looks like
Palletized and shrink-wrapped in our warehouse
Padded and wrapped before it is loaded
A custom crate built around a fragile piece
Inside the building we own
Into storage, held, and back out again
In
Say so at the quote
Tell us at booking that you need storage, and it gets built into your written estimate with the rest of the move.
Wrapped at your home
Furniture is padded and wrapped before it goes on the truck, the same as any move, because the protection has to survive the ride either way.
Inventoried as it comes off
Your things are logged as they enter the warehouse, so what went in is what comes out.
Held
Stacked and wrapped
We stack your goods on pallets and shrink-wrap them rather than leaving them loose on a floor.
Temperature-controlled, under video
The building is temperature-controlled and monitored by 24/7 video surveillance for as long as your belongings are with us.
Out
Delivered when you are ready
Tell your coordinator when your new place is ready and we schedule the delivery. Timing depends on distance and routing, so we give you an estimated window, never a promised date.
Most of the homes we hold are waiting on a move across state lines, where the distance is what puts a gap between the two dates in the first place.
What storage costs, and why we will not print a number here
Storage pricing depends on how much space your belongings take up and how long they stay. Neither of those is knowable before someone has gone through your inventory, which is why you will not find a monthly rate posted on this page.
What you will get is the number in writing before you book. Storage is quoted with the rest of your move, based on the same inventory the move itself is priced from. It is a line on your estimate, not a surprise that shows up after the truck is loaded.
That inventory is the part worth taking seriously. The most common reason a moving price changes is that the inventory was incomplete, so tell us about the garage, the attic, and the closet you have not opened in a year. It is easier to plan for it than to discover it.
Your rights when you hire an interstate mover, including how estimates and delivery work, are set out by the federal regulator: FMCSA, Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move.
Get a number in writing, storage included.
Closing dates move. Leases don't always line up.
It happens on a good number of moves and it does not have to become a problem.
A few weeks
The closing slipped, the lease ends first, or the keys are not ready. Your things wait with us and go out as soon as your date lands.
Several months
You are between homes, building, or waiting out a work assignment. The same warehouse, the same care, for as long as you need it.
One company from your old door to your new one.

Tell us what you need stored, and for how long
Send us the rooms, the dates you are working around, and whether the new place is ready. We will build an estimate from a real inventory rather than a guess, with the storage priced in.
We are a family company, and we move memories, not boxes. Your things get handled the way we would want someone handling ours.
